spring has sprung!

This past week has seen a total change in the weather. Where last week I was in a blizzard going to Iqaluit, this week the weather is mild and water is running all over. Where we made the trip from Iqualuit in 5 hours one way, at the end of the week some guys took two days to make it back. I've included a couple of pics showing what happens to the streets once the run off begins. It reminds me of the old song 'If you should go to Venice' where the streets are flowing rivers. I went out for a walk this morning and took a few mor pictures to show that there is still lots of snow and ice, although it is going quickly. It is only 37 days until I fly out on June 19, and while some days the time goes quickly, other days it seems that the time will never go. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you.
