The great whale hunt

This is the third time I've tried to post this message. I don't know why but I keep getting error messages. I'll try again.
Yesterday I went out with Kam, Paul, and Ron in the boat. Kam wanted to go a fair distance down the coast where it was reported Beluga whales were hanging around. It turned out to be too rough, so we contented ourselves with hunting seals in some back bays. We didn't get any of those either. We couldn't get very close to them, and with the boat rocking and them bobbing up and down, it was difficult to get a good shot. Even Kam missed and he is normally a crack shot. We had snow and very strong winds last night and I thought I might get my snowmachine out, but I had to go to the school to do some work this afternoon, and because it starts getting dark around 3:30 I just didn't make it. I only took a few pictures yesterday because it was too cold on the hands.

Hi Jim

Whale and seal hunting, eh. Not an activity that many people get to experience! We've had snow but it hasn't stayed. Its 7C today. All the leaves are down. Now its just waiting!
Take care
Joan
