northern exposure

Here it is, another Sunday, and the start of another week. Actually, my school week won't start until Tuesday. There is a flu bug going 'round, and less than half of the students were at school on Friday, so school closed at noon and will remain closed tomorrow. I can use the time to get some review sheets made up. The high school students begin exams a week from tomorrow. I went for a walk down by the shore today and took a few pictures, then this afternoon I went with Phil and another guy for a little spin on the snowmobiles. We went out on Soper Lake (plenty safe, they've been running on it for a couple of weeks) where we saw some caribou out on the ice. It is illegal to chase them down, but I did get close enough to get one picture which I've included. I've also included a picture of the Anglican Church showing the most popular mode of transportation now that the snow has come. I've been invited to Donna and Paul's for dinner tonight and we'll watch the Grey Cup. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at Christmas.
