weekly report

Hi Again
It's turning out that I blog about once a week. There are couple of reasons. One, not too much happens during the week that I want to report on, (Just boring school stuff), and two, on the weekend I often go for a hike or some other activity and take more pictures to include. Yesterday Paul and I set out for a hike not knowing exactly how far we would go or for how long. It turned out that we went all the way to Soper Falls (about 20km round trip), stopping often for pictures (Paul is next to a professional photographer), and just to enjoy being out. The weather was warm and calm, just a beautiful day!. I wanted very much to catch a char at the falls as this might be my last opportunity before winter, but when we got there a local native fellow had a net set across the best pool for catching them and he had about twenty fish. I tried casting in several other locations but caught nothing except the bottom. I've included a couple of pictures to try to show what a great day it was. When we got back just before dark, the sea lift barges were in the harbour. Since I had ordered a few case lots of stuff before leaving the south I had to stick around until my crate was unloaded and then arrange for it to be taken to my place. It was about 8:00 before I had my supper and by then I was too tired to unpack. This morning I managed to get my crate unpacked and do a bit of housework before going to the school to plan the week. All in all it's been a good weekend. One of the pictures is of a large 'drill hole' in the rocks at the falls. It's the largest I've ever seen, about 4-5 ft in diameter. Because it was full of sand it was hard to know its depth, but I'm guessing it must be about two ft deep.
